Car Shows For A Cause

'A Look at the Funds Raised at Car Events and Where it Goes'

A lot of planning and hard work goes into putting on a car show, cruise-in, rod run and/or swap meet. It takes the tireless help of volunteers, the generosity of sponsors, the loyalty of participants and the attendance of spectators to build a successful event. While it often takes months or all year to put on a 1-day, 2-day or 3-day show, it's just a blink of an eye and it's over for another year. When it's over, we know who sponsored the show, we know who the trophy winners are and even the big raffle prize winner, but we don't always know who benefits from the monies raised through registration fees, raffle ticket sales and/or food and beverage purchases. In most cases (if not all), these events are a fundraiser for a non-profit organization, a school program, or a family or individual in need.

Through the years of attending and participating in car shows, cruise-ins, and swap meets, I've learned that the car community folks have huge hearts and deep pockets. They give of their time, their hearts and their financial support. I couldn't be more proud than to play a small role in the generosity of these amazing car enthusiasts.

The purpose of this page is to share with you, the amount of money that's been raised at individual events by car clubs, organizations and businesses for non-profit organizations and/or those in need.

A heartfelt 'Thank You' to all of you!
