1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Tudor Sedan

This is one of the coolest pancaked Chevy sedans you will ever see.
The deep, deep dark gunmetal gray metallic paint is good enough to have earned it countless car show trophies and the few very minor flaws are hard to find.
Make no mistake – it is a car that was originally built nearly 40 years ago with a top chop by the legendary Dick Dean, and it was featured at that time in Hot Rod Illustrated magazine.
Built in the traditional style, the butterfly hood panels are louvered, and it features chrome reversed rims.
Of course, this classic Stovebolt has the Heartbeat of America under the hood – a bright and shiny 350 CID Chevy V8 with a programmable Sniper fuel injection system hooked up to a GM 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission and an 8 inch Ford rear end with a 3.73:1 gear ratio.
It purrs down the freeways at about 2000 rpm.
The original Chevy suspension was replaced with a Camaro front clip, adding power disc brakes and power steering for much better ride and handling characteristics.
This car is a pleasure to drive.
In fact, the only difficult thing about driving this car is keeping your mind on the road.
So many folks honking their horns, sticking their thumbs up in the air, and waving at you can be downright distracting.
Inside, the tilt forward and reclining bucket seats, back seats, door panels, and headliner are finished in comfortable woven broadcloth, and the car has new carpets.
Built for road trips, this Bowtie hot rod is equipped with cold 134A air conditioning, a tilt steering column from a 67 Oldsmobile, VDO instruments and a removable sound system with excellent acoustics for playing those oldies n goodies.
It has a third brake light, and extra taillights bolt on to the rear bumper for safety, but they are plug-in units and can be easily removed.
Somebody’s great grandpa probably drove this sedan around new 85 years ago, but it is still on the road, running better than grandpa’s Bulova pocket watch.
You can bet it is a lot more fun to tool around in now.
It has been driven an average of about 500 miles a year with just over 18,000 miles on the odometer since it was built.
Over the years it has been well maintained and constantly improved, so it needs nothing.
Is there a nicer ’39 Chevy sedan someplace? Probably.
Is there another one at an affordable price? Probably not!
Interested buyers are invited to inspect the car in Tucson.
Bring an expert.
Bring a micrometer if you want.
Bring your overalls and crawl under it.
Check the clearances, the fit, the form, the feel.
Hear the power.
Experience the thrill.
