1956 Chevrolet 210 Handyman 2 DR Wagon

This spectacular 1956 Chevrolet 210 "Handyman" 2-door wagon may have started life as a classic Tri-Five Chevy, but today it is a professionally built custom designed to blend vintage style with modern performance and drivability.

The body was removed and placed on a rotisserie where the metal work was completed to an extremely high standard. The undercarriage has been finished in durable Raptor liner for both sound deadening and long-term rust protection. New Real Deal steel front fenders were installed during the restoration, helping create a solid foundation for the build.

Finished in a beautiful medium metallic gray with a metallic pearl white top, the paint has excellent depth and complements the wagon's aggressive stance perfectly. The custom rear bumper was designed to accommodate a hidden trailer hitch, ideal for pulling a vintage teardrop trailer, or it can easily be swapped for the included traditional bumpers front and rear. Up front, the bumper bar gives the car a subtle old-school gasser attitude that perfectly matches the personality of the build.

Inside, the custom touches continue with leather Grand Cherokee front seating, an Ididit tilt steering column, custom steering wheel, Vintage Air climate control, custom gauges, and micro-switch controls. The entire vehicle has been completely rewired using a Ron Francis wiring harness, offering modern reliability throughout.

Power comes from a strong-running 4-bolt-main Chevrolet engine equipped with Holley Sniper fuel injection and a Holley HyperSpark ignition system. Additional upgrades include a serpentine front drive system, Harrison pancake A/C compressor, custom Vintage Air manifold setup, and a healthy flat tappet camshaft. Fuel delivery is handled through a 1966 Caprice fuel tank fitted with an in-tank Holley fuel pump. Backing the engine is a 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission with a shift kit, making this wagon equally comfortable cruising the highway or carving through back roads.

The suspension setup is where this Handyman truly separates itself from the crowd. The car features a complete C4 Corvette suspension conversion with new Energy Suspension bushings throughout, Bilstein shocks up front, and coil-overs in the rear. A Zip's center section with 3.73 gears helps put the power to the pavement while dramatically improving drivability and handling. The result is a classic Chevrolet that genuinely drives more like a modern sports car.

This is a rare opportunity to own a custom Tri-Five wagon that stands out everywhere it goes. Beautifully built, thoughtfully engineered, and packed with modern upgrades, this 1956 Chevrolet Handyman is the perfect combination of classic style, comfort, and performance.
