Sparkling 1966 Chevrolet El Camino Restomod
Offered for sale to discriminating buyers is this arrow straight, rust free, fully restored classic El Camino.
This beautiful Marina Blue hauler has been a work in progress for over two decades, carefully crafted and beautifully updated to make it powerful, dependable, economical, and, of course, doggone handy.
It looks like it just rolled off the Fremont, California assembly line where it was born this morning.
It is now powered by a strong new Ram Jet injected 350 CID small block V8, a dealer supplied crate engine, coupled to a four speed GM 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission.
In addition to fuel injection, this engine is equipped with serpentine belts, HEI ignition, aluminized tubular long reach headers and tuned dual exhaust featuring FlowMaster mufflers.
A reconditioned 10 bolt rear end with 3.73:1 gears and the overdrive transmission combine to deliver optimum acceleration and easy freeway cruising economy.
Of course, this El Camino features power steering, power disc brakes, cold air conditioning and heat, and a top shelf AM/FM/XM sound system.
All wiring was replaced with a new Painless wiring system, and this great little hauler also has a Dakota Digital dash, B&M Quicksilver shifter, and an Ididit tilt steering column.
The eye-catching ride draws attention everywhere it goes because of the superb craftsmanship that went into a full body off restoration.
The flawless sheet metal body is free of any blemishes, including the cargo bed which looks as if the tonneau cover has never been lifted.
The frame was powder coated in black, and all suspension components are new.
The chrome trim, stainless, bumpers, and badges are new and the El Camino has a polished stainless steel gas tank.
It not only looks great, but also rides just right with new Cooper Cobra radial tires mounted on custom Alloy rims.
The durable and comfortable black vinyl bucket seat interior is new and the door panels, headliner, dash pad and carpets are in excellent condition.
The sheet metal and frame are as solid as a rock.
Absolutely no rust, no dings, dents, or filler will be found on this bone dry El Camino.
The finish absolutely dances in the sunlight, and this cool Chevy is certain to bring home trophies at car shows.
More importantly, it is a classic ride that can be driven anywhere as trouble free and reliably as a brand new car.
It is doubtful there is a finer 1966 Chevrolet El Camino anywhere.
With no mechanical or electrical issues, this is a vehicle that could be used as a daily driver, and is perfect for road trips.
It has been driven less than 2000 miles since completion of the restoration.
No, it did not come from the assembly line with Super Sport trim, but it is safe to say that now it is equal to, or better than the original factory SS version.
