The following is the inspection from when I purchased the car. I've kept in tempered space and had the transmission and carburetor rebuilt, put 1,500 miles on it, but other than that it is as I bought it in 2017. The antenna and radio do work despite the report below

"Grade 1-6 Summary of Comments/Condition (6 representing near perfect) Finish: 5 the finish on this car is extremely nice. It has a straight, smooth glossy finish to the touch. There are some over spray points in the door jambs, but nothing that couldn't be remedied in short order. There are some fish eye spots on the right rear top side quarter panel which appears to be in the clear coat. If not for the over spray areas and the minor paint defects this would be a 6 on finish. The remainder of the cars paint work is above average. Body: 5 Overall the body appears to be in very good condition. Body work prior to repaint appears to have been done properly. No significant areas of repair was detected. The front inner fender lips appear to be original with the double lip structure. Gaps: 4 Body gaps look very good and above factory specs. The doors have slight alignment issues at the very front top and hood shows proper alignment per the factory specs or above. Both doors open and close very nice with minimal effort. Very well aligned. Trim: 4 Vehicle stainless trim all there and in excellent condition. Some of the emblems show age and paint fading or missing. RH front bumper has material defect where it raps around the front RH fender. Possible arching mishap during re-chroming. Frame/Unibody: 3 the underside of the car appears to be clean and solid, though a lift was not available at the time of inspection to get a thorough look. There was minimal surface corrosion apparent, though the frame had not been restored at the time the body was as the car was a frame on restoration. The rubber body mounts are cracked from age and the fuel vent line was detached and showed the original barb rusted off in the hose. Glass: 4 all of the glass is in great condition and represented very well. The windshield shows markings of original. The right side glass appears to be original as it represents the original markings from the glass manufacture. The left side appears to have been replaced at some point. The rear window also has the original markings. Nothing was cracked and all windows work up and down properly. Weather Stripping: 5 the weather stripping around the inside door jams looks in very good condition, replaced at the time of restoration. The rest of the rubber trim on the vehicle is in as new condition. All window rubber looks fairly new. Wipers: 4 Wipe blade arms show minimal signs of age. The wiper operation was not checked at the time of this inspection. Interior: 4 Vehicle displays the interior very well. Color match is perfect and as stated on the build tag. The seats are very nice along with the door panels as well. Factory power windows are included on this vehicle. Seat belts are in place and in good working order. The headliner is in place and in very nice condition. Dash: 4 the dash is in excellent condition with no tears or scuffs at the time of inspection. The console is in very good condition. The matching paint of the dash waterfall and the console is slightly glossy which is not per the factory spec. This should be more of a satin finish. The radio does not work therefore the power antennae was not verified to work at the time of the inspection. Overall a very well appointed interior. Gauges: 4 the gauges appear to work as they should. Confirmation of all gauge operation was not done at the time of inspection. Glass lens and finish are all in very good condition and look as they should. Wheels: 4 the wheels on this vehicle are proper and fit well with this car. Wheel covers are in place and match the correct design and availability for this vehicle. Spinners were added which is a normal practice for this vehicle. Tires: 4 The tires are aftermarket radials which is the norm for a vehicle of this era. Safety and compliance are of the most important if the vehicle will be used as a drive as well as a show car. Drive-train: 4 this vehicle has the 427/425 HP engine with the factory optioned M21 synchromesh Muncie transmission. This is a highly coveted combination for this era Corvette. The axles and drive shaft are of the factory specs and are in very good rebuilt condition. Rear sway bar is in place with factory springs. The engine has the proper markings for a 1967 block with a snow flake aluminum intake. The block has been decked removing the factory stampings on the right side front block deck. The rear block however displays the correct stamping for this engine. Not the original year correct engine does diminish the value. Engine Bay: 4 Engine bay shows as original and organized. The finish is proper and the underside of the hood is very nicely detailed. The stainless distributor cover is in place. The valve covers show grind marks under the paint from where they were refinished in the correct Chevrolet orange color. The alternator displays the proper markings and numbers for this year vehicle. The air cleaners appears to be correct. Brakes: 4 the brakes were not properly inspected at the time of the inspection but the owner and buyer drove the vehicle and deemed them to be ok. Suspension: 4 Suspension is stock. Control arms appear to be stock. It was difficult to see the bushing condition though not mention of suspension noise from the test drive was apparent. Exhaust: 4 Displays the factory side pipes and they look very nice and in great condition. The entire exhaust was replaced at the time of the restoration and shows to be in good order and proper. Drivability: 4 this vehicle was driven by the owner and prospective buyer and I was told it drove very nice and as it should. Collectability: 5 Collectability for this vehicle is fairly strong in today's market. The big block make this Corvette more desirable than a small block car of the same year and condition."

Below are all the numbers as stated by previous owner evaluator:

Description:

1966 Chevrolet Corvette

For sale is a very nice Mosport Green 1966 big block coupe. I would classify the car as an "excellent driver." The shipping report that I obtained from NCRS shows that the car was delivered new to Jim Rathman (1960 Indy 500 Winner) Chevrolet in Melbourne, Florida. Jim was also famous for supplying Corvettes to most of the Mercury astronauts. The car also spent an extended period in Arizona. I don't believe the body has ever been removed, the frame and chassis are in exceptionally nice condition. The code 982 paint is excellent with a few chips here and there. The interior is super nice including the dash cluster. Tinted glass all the way around.Power options windows and antenna. Everything works correctly except for the clock. The power antenna works. The bumpers, chrome and emblems are all extremely nice. All bonding strips intact. The only sign of damage I see is that the lower front valance was replaced at some point. The car drives excellent, and has many new parts including 4 new shocks and recent rear inner bearing replacement.

The car appears to be a factory equipped side exhaust car, s there is no evidence of rocker molding brackets having been cut off.

The car has a 1967 427 block installed casting number 3904351 date codedJ136 (Oct 13, 966). The block has been decked and the pad in front of the R/H cylinder head is blank.

I am confident it is an original 427/425HP car based on the following: 1) 6500 RPM redline tach. 2) 80 lb oil pressure gauge. 3) LB sticker on back of dash cluster. 4)AZ code ( 3:55 Ratio) differential with date code 4 56 (April 4, 966). The AZ code rear was used only in 427 cars. 5)The M21 transmission has the original tag P/N388085. This P/N M21 was used only with the AZ code rear end. The VIN is stamped on the transmission along with the date code of PO311 (March 11, 966). 6) Half shafts have threaded bolts with caps. 7) Rear sway bar. 8) Has correct fuel line on frame adjacent to fuel pump with 90 degree bend. 9) Mounting holes in L/H inner fender for K66 ignition and no ballast resistor. K66 was mandatory with 427/425HP and used no resistor. ( the troublesome K66 was removed at some point and a Pertronix module was installed in the Delco tach drive distributor. 10) Alternator P/N 1100696 is installed. This is correct 42 amp alternator for use with K66 ignition. 11) Holes for expansion tank on R/H inner fender filled with factory bond. No tank was used on 427/425. 12) L/H hood prop. I probably forgot something.

Many of the 1966 parts were used on the replacement 1967 block: 1) Winters aluminum intake P/N 3885069. Correct for 427/425. 2) Cylinder heads 3873858. Correct Rectangular port closed chamber. 3) Exhaust manifolds 3880827 and 3880828. The carburetor is an incorrect Holley 650 double pumper and I could not get a number off of the Delco corvette tach drive distributor.
