1930 Ford Model A Cabriolet Hotrod - Fuel Injected Buick 401 Nailhead

It doesn't matter what generation of gearhead you are - the traditional American hot rod is something that is respected by all. The true birthplace of our entire modified car culture is found in these clackity old tin cans given renewed purpose as speed machines with unparalleled style. A beautiful hot rod is not only able to evoke the spirit a particular time period but is timeless in the concept of being the ultimate tinkertoy on wheels! Crafted with nostalgia in mind, this 1930 Ford Model A Cabriolet is a beautiful throwback to the rodders of yesteryear.

Built from the ground up over several years, and featuring 1932 Ford front and rear bodywork, this all-metal car blends the traditional and the modern into a package you simply can't take your eyes off.
Powered by a massaged Buick 401 Nailhead V8, a favorite of rodders for offering plenty of torque in a relatively small footprint, it has been augmented with MSD's electronic fuel injection system for rock solid reliability.

Engine upgrades included new cam, lifters, timing chain and gearset, full reseal and overhaul of the block and and full rebuild of the cylinder heads.
Backed by a practically unbreakable combo of a rebuilt TH400 automatic transmission with a completely Ford 9" rearend packing 3.25:1 gears.
All of this ensures that all the power you could need is on tap, in an easy-to-drive package - that starts every time.
Steering and stopping this bad boy are important too, though!
Featuring front disc brakes, this Model A also has a UniSteer Cross-Steer Mini Rack/Pinion system installed in place where many traditional builders utilized Vega steering boxes.
The rearend has coilover suspension as well, and the front axle was dropped for that perfect stance! However, as good as it runs, drives, starts and stops - the one thing that'll stop the hearts of anyone who passes by is what they see - and there are so many details involved with this beautiful car - it's almost a disservice to try putting them into words.

Originally starting life as 1930 Model A Cabriolet, the builder utilized 1932 front end and rear end components to build the Deuce Coupe style that everyone recognizes - with the 1932 Ford grill, bumpers, fenders, and dash all hunted down and seamlessly integrated into the car.
The fuel tank was moved to the traditional rear spot and the original 1930 fuel tank area received a functional air scoop.
The firewall was sheetmetal formed to fit with the Buick 401.
The windshield was laid back approximately 2-3" for that eye-catching swept style as well.
The 3-piece rootlieb hood is from DF Metalworks, and features period correct trim, as well as custom-fabricated clearance bubbles for the Nailhead's exhaust manifolds.
Swathed in 1939 Buick Francis Cream yellow, accented with a tasteful amount of chrome and black - the exterior look is beefed up by the big whitewall tires and the Landau convertible top, which was refurbished with replaced top irons, landau bar parts and more. A glass rear window comes with the car as well but is not shown in photos.
The real coup d'grace is pinstriping from Pacific Northwest legend Spiderman.
The interior plays the part just as well!
The Model A has a 30" steering column with a LaCarra Banjo steering wheel, and Lokar Shifter/Brake kit.
The already-mentioned 1932 dash has a set of Stewart-Warner wing gauges installed, The seats are a set of tan pieces from a Ford Flex, which offer fold down functionality, as well as are able to be folded up and out of the way in the case of the passenger side (thus allowing a full set of golf clubs to be put in the car!), The doors as well as the trunk area have been upholstered tastefully.

Included with the sale are nearly 100 photos of the assembly from bare frame to completed project, a folder of important information, records, and other details.
We truly insist that the car be inspected in person by interested parties or their representatives. This is going to make a fantastic addition to someone's garage or multi-car collection, and my father is looking forward to passing it along to someone who will be a good steward of it.
