This 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Coupe - The Last Land Yacht has been sold and has a new home in Vancouver, BC.

Four and a half decades ago, Cadillac produced the last of the biggest cars to carry the marque.
Lovingly called the Land Yachts, the Eldorado Biarritz coupes featured a richly padded landau top with carriage lights behind the quarter windows, matching body colored wheel covers and special badging - a tribute to the swan song of these behemoth beauties.
No less impressive than the exterior styling, the Eldorado featured pillow-top, tufted leather seats that are as comfortable as a favorite armchair, and virtually every convenience that luxury automobiles of the time offered is at the fingertips of the driver.
The ninth generation Eldorado was a statement car, having road dominating size, a long hood with a 425 cubic inch engine producing the 320 foot pounds of torque necessary to move this massive 18 foot 6 inch along at a brisk pace.
Not only is the interior as roomy as some apartments, the truck space is enormous, too.
This 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz coupe is resplendent in its original Cotilion White finish – virtually unblemished and dent free after 77,000 miles of gentle use.
Inside, the glove soft white leather seats are nicely contrasted with carmine carpets, dashboard and interior trim.
Under the hood, the original 7 liter engine starts at the touch of the key and purrs quietly.
The Eldorado is equipped with the GM TH350 automatic transmission with front-wheel-drive.
The spacious cabin has climate-controlled air conditioning, dual 8-way 50/50 comfort seats, cruise control, a tilt/telescopic steering column, AM/FM/8-Track radio with power antenna, Sentinel automatic headlights, power windows & locks, dual remote mirrors, outside thermometer, door lock courtesy lights, power trunk release and pull down, carpeted floor mats, original tinted glass, rubber trunk mat, trunk light, and rear window defroster.
The Eldorado has a 126 inch wheelbase, auto-leveling suspension, and rides on American Classic wide whitewall tires with very little tread wear.
The ride is comfortable and silent, perhaps nicer than any other automobile ever produced.
This very special Eldorado Biarritz is offered for sale by its second owner.
It has always been meticulously serviced and maintained, and the air conditioning system has been converted to use R134a refrigerant.
There are no mechanical or electrical issues - all lights, switches, accessories, and gauges are fully functional.
Is it perfect? No. Yet, considering it is an unrestored original, it remains in outstanding condition in every respect.
Still looking new in appearance, only very close inspection reveals it has been in service for 46 years.
The original owner included an anecdotal history of the car and all of its vital records from the time of first sale until now are intact.
The original owner's manual, ownership documentation, maintenance and warranty booklets, and two sets of original keys accompany the car when a new owner takes possession.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle and questions are welcome.
This is a private sale, so only cash or bank to bank wire transfer of funds will be accepted.
